I'm guessing you saw Kendrick's Superbowl Halftime performance.

The Inspo

Kendrick, Gil Scott-Heron, and the state of the world :)

My inspiration for this piece was based off Kendrick's halftime performance. I made the entire painting in 12 hours the day after the Superbowl.

"The revolution will be televised" is a play on the 1971 Scott-Heron song, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." I wanted to include both versions.

Played around with the layout, wording, and colours on my iPad before painting it onto a canvas. The highlighted layer is the one I went with for the final piece.
